    A veteran of World War I, he served in France. He was a certified public accountant with the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 1961, after which he did private tax work.

    Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Ada Jane) Larenzen, Olympian Fields, Ill. and Mrs. George (Norma Jean) Roos, Grayslake, Ill.; one son, Marion C. Gray, Kokomo; one step-brother, Philip Wolfenberger, Deerfield Beach, Fla.; one step-sister, Mrs. Ethel Flickinger, Freeport, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Fenn Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Fox officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

There is also one daughter, Mrs. Ben Confer, Freeport. A brother, Marion Gray, resides in Chicago. he is also survived by his step-father, Henry Wolfenberger, Cedarville, and a half-sister and a half-brother, Ethel and Phillip Wolfenberger.

    For the past several years he had operated an oil filling station at the corner of East Stephenson street and North State avenue. He was known as a sportsman being keenly interested in hunting and fishing and was well-known throughout the country. He was a veteran of World War I.

    Funeral services will be held at the Eichmeier & Becker funeral home, West Stephenson street, at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Clifford Paulson, pastor of the Evangelical church at Cedarville, will conduct the services. Friends may call at the funeral home
