    Mr. Holcomb was born in Adams County on July 16, 1872, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wardsey Holcomb. He married Sylvia Reid there on Jan. 1, 1899. His wife died in 1926 and he moved to Wisconsin Rapids from Pittsville in 1928.

    Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Earl Robinson and Mrs. Arthur C. Jensen, Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. Louis Van Dake, Osseo, Minn.; one brother, William, Hancock; one sister, Mrs. William Ployle, Binger, Wash.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.

    Friends may pay their respects at the Taylor Funeral Home from 7 o'clock this evening until time of services."6

Her brothers, Ray (Anna) of Towner, ND, Frank (Gladys), Justin (Ellen), Kirk (Ethelyn) of Plainfield, WI, Carl (Regina) of Great Falls, MT and her sisters Ann (Harris) Botsford of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Belva (Dean Sr.) Gustin of Racine, WI. Flora is further preceded in death by 2 Children, Juanita (Reid) McDowell of Wild Rose, WI, and Dick Reid of Weston, ID, 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild, as well by her former husband Ora Reid of Chinook, MT who passed on 25 May 1991. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield with Lois Scott officiating. Inurnment will be at Plainfield Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home."2
