Helen Gould was born in the town of Belmont, Portage county, Mar. 21, 1858. It was in that community that she was married to Mr. Vaughn on Nov. 24, 1873. For a time the family lived in Hull, Portage county, and in 1898 they moved to Antigo and this city has been her home ever since. Four children were born to them, three surviving. Mr. Vaughn died in 1903.
The three sons surviving are E. A. Vaughan of Lompoc, Cal., and W. A. and E. R., of this city. E. A. Vaughn arrived home Saturday evening after having been informed of his mother's condition and arrived in time to see her alive.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, services to be held at the Methodist church with the Rev. Mr. Fisher in charge."3,8
