    Friends may call at the Goult-Gasperic Funeral Home, Plainfield, after 4 p.m., Sunday. A vigil service will be conducted that evening at 8 o'clock.

    Mr. Winkler was born on June 6, 1901, in Beaver Dam, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Winkler. As a child he came to Plainfield with his parents. He had lived there since. He was married to Helen Kertis on April 12, 1947. She died on Nov. 10, 1948.

    Mr. Winkler was employed by the former Plainfield Sun for 25 years. Prior to his retirement 10 years ago he worked for the Woodward Farms and the Burns Farms in the Plainfield area.

    Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Henry (Cecilia) Welch, 2517 Clark St., a brother, George Winkler, Endeavor, a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters."3,2
