He was employed at Kleiner Lumber Company for 21 years, became a co-owner of Direct Oil Company and was a self-employed general contractor for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Lila; two sons, Robert (Rose), Ronald (Janice) all of Eau Claire; a daughter, Sandra (Edward) of Eau Claire; a stepdaughter, Eleanor Pederson of Eau Claire; three stepsons, Allan (Evelyn) Powers, of New Richmond, John (Lois) Powers of Circle Pine, Minn., William (Barbara) Powers of Laureldale, Pa.; a brother, Milford (Irene) of Eau Claire, two sisters, Jeannette Frietag, Sarah (Clarence) Myers, both of Eau Claire; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Plymouth United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Margaret E. Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, town of Washington.

He was a firefighter for 32 years with the Eau Claire Fire Department, retiring as a battalion chief in 1985. He also worked part-time for many years at Kleiner Lumber.
He was a member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shari; two sons, Michael (Deborah Curley) Fenner of Tucson, Ariz., and Brian (Kris) Fenner of Wisconsin Rapids; three daughters, Cheryl Peterson-Radloff of Phoenix, Deb (Steve) Miedema of Prescott, Ariz., and Jacki (Scott) Drier of Durand; 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Jordan (Kim), Clinton (Christine) and Courtney Fenner, Kristeen Rose (Gerald) Piper, Todd Burrows, Chad, Brady and Austin Drier, and Sara and Cassandra Miedema; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan Rose Marie and Madison Piper and Evelyn Georgia Fenner; four brothers-in-law, Ed Huse, Tom (Bev) Risler, Don (Veronica) Risler and Dick (Sherry) Risler; sister-in-law, Judy (Ken) Bignell; many nieces, including his goddaughter, Jodi (Joe Brummond) Huse; and nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Huse; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Janice Fenner; daughter-in-law, Georgia Fenner; son-in-law, Brad Peterson; and grandson, Craig Burrows.
Bob had a true passion for life. He enjoyed being active with family and friends. He loved fishing, golfing and taking daily walks with his best friend, Shari. Bob's family was everything to him, and he always looked forward to family gatherings.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Eau Claire, with the Rev. David Huber officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire, where American Legion Post 53 will conduct military honors. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

His family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who touched Bob's life. Sandy attended Sherman Creek Grade School and graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School, class of 1957. She had many fond memories of all her classmates and beloved lifelong friends.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Edward Huse, on Oct. 5, 1959, in Eau Claire. To this union, daughter Jodene was born. Sandy was like a second mother to many; she truly enjoyed and loved everyone dearly.
She loved the company of friends and family. We have many wonderful memories of Sandy entertaining others. So many of our loved ones have passed on, most recently her beloved brother, Ronald, and her sister-in-law and friend, Rose Fenner.
From Sandy's memoirs: 'I can't say that I know why sad things happen ... I can't say that I know just how you feel ... I can only sympathize with you and hope you believe that what is precious and special is never really lost ... because loving memories live on to bring a smile to our hearts.'
