Lornie operated a dairy farm with his wife, was a school bus driver, and was employed by Doyle Township for over 19 years until his retirement.
  
  Lawrence Schmeling is survived by a brother, Carl Schmeling of Rice Lake, WI; a sister, Viola Olson of Waupaca, WI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald & Shirley Mikkelsen of Brill, WI; a sister-in-law, Dianne Smith of Brill, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothea; a daughter, Frances Smiley; and a brother, Lester Schmeling.
  
  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Campia, WI, with Rev. Jennifer Larson officiating, with interment in the Long Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11 AM Saturday at the church."^1,2

He owned and operated Luttrell Photography until his retirement in 1978. Bob was active in Chippewa Valley Boy Scouts and was a recipient of scouting's Lamb Award and the Silver Beaver Award. He was an active member of the Eau Claire Rotary Club for over 40 years and was recently named a Paul Harries Fellow by Rotary International. Bob was a member of the Sacred Heart Hospital Advisory Board and was actively involved in assisting in the advanced training of Pastors thru the L.S.S. C.P.E. Program.
  
  Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; three sons, Eric of London, England, Jay of Racine, Tim of Waunakee; two daughters, Karen Evens of Duluth, Ann Nelson of Sun Prairie; and 11 grandchildren.
  
  Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dennis Napton officiating. Private burial services will be held at Rest Haven Gardens, town of Washington.
  
  Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fuller Funeral Home.
  
  The family prefers memorials to the Luther Hospital Hospice Program."¹
