    Born Sept. 6, 1913 in Caneadea, he was the son of Elmer and Lugenia Bartlett Taylor. A former resident of Franklinville and Rushford, he had lived in Wellsville since 1946.

    Mr. Taylor was employed as a guard at the Air Preheater Co. He was a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church and was a veteran of World War II.

    In addition to his widow, the former Helen Newman, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Judith) Brainard of Andover, Miss Patricia Taylor and Mrs. Paul (Deborah) Vossler, both of Wellsville, and one granddaughter. He is also survived by four brothers, Charles of Harrison Valley, Pa., Ralph of Scottsdale, Pa., Verner of North Charleston, S. C. and Glen of Friendship; two sisters, Mrs. Oliver (Marty) Butler of Little Valley and Mrs. Lottie Butler of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the west wing of the Embser Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. tonight and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the First Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Elmer Krentz, pastor, officiating.

    Burial will be in Rushford Cemetery."5,4
